Olive wood
Present on all the shores of the Mediterranean, the olive tree, which has a lifespan of several centuries, does not reach maturity until after 35 years. Its wood, hard and veined, allows you to sculpt lovely decorative objects or utensils with a beautiful golden yellow appearance.
It is a very resistant and warm finely structured wood that comes in shades varying from cream to medium brown, with irregular lines, gray, brown and black, and by complex veins that sometimes gives it the appearance marble.
Olive wood is characterized by its high density (20% denser than Beech), this characteristic gives it a very hard wood and therefore more resistant. Our olive wood articles are produced with the greatest respect for the artisanal techniques of Tunisian Turneries.
Naturally recognized for its great resistance, this wood offers its colorful folds and veins in a multitude of generous shapes.

The piece of wood chosen imposes the calibration on the man and not the other way around. It is then the ancestral know-how of Maghrebian craftsmanship that gives birth to this precious rarity.
The Foutas
The hammam sheet is known in Tunisia under the name of Fouta.
It is the men and not the women who weave it, the handling of the semi-automatic looms requires a lot of physical strength.
A fouta accompanies everyday life: the more you wash it, the more it gains in flexibility and beauty.
Its size is always the same: 200 cm x100 cm (for the body).
The small Fouta (in principle for the hair) measures 50 cm x 70 cm.
If the fouta is a wonderful towel to roll up after a shower, it is easily diverted and becomes, depending on the circumstances, a superb beach towel, an improvised tablecloth or a providential plaid.
This range is 100% cotton with a pretty fringed finish.
Cotton voile towels are lighter, perfect as a sarong or lightweight towels for the summer and the beach.
